Communities in the developing world often find that their health care needs are not met by their country’s strained public health care system.This holds true in Manenberg, a township situated approximately 15 kilometers outside of Cape Town, South Africa. To become an EFAR, community members must attend the four-hour basic EFAR course and pass a written test.
